Café San Alberto, Plaza Santo Domingo — 4.9, 2,143 reviews
The only place on this list that is also a Colombian coffee brand with its own farm in Quindío. If you want to drink a traceable, award-winning Colombian origin rather than an anonymous house blend, this is the obvious stop inside the walls.
Ábaco Libros y Café — 4.9, 3,715 reviews
Bookshop and café in the old town, and probably the best-known coffee address in the city among people who come to read rather than photograph the walls. The format explains part of the score: people stay.
Ely Café — 5.0, 3,153 reviews (and 5.0 with 702 at its old town branch)
Two locations, both on a perfect score with real volume behind them. One of the few cases where opening a second site did not drag the rating down.
Bakery cafés: LA BRIOCHE and Nía
LA BRIOCHE Centro Histórico (5.0, 5,974) has the second-highest review count in the city and Nía Bakery Coffee Shop (5.0, 2,797) is not far behind. Both are bakeries that serve coffee rather than specialty roasters — worth knowing before you order. The oven is the main act.

Al Alma (4.9, 1,082) is a café with a full kitchen. Tenderete (4.9, 1,019) clears a thousand reviews at 4.9, which few places in any Colombian city sustain.
